| Crews Run 3 During the Day |
Mon. May 21st 2012
Units from Station 70 and E-7-4-1 were dispatched to a vehicle accident with injuries on Route 283. E702 went in route but shortly after redirected themselves to a bicyclist struck in the Village, asking LCWC to cover them with E-7-5-2. The bicyclist was member who was responding to the earlier dispatch for the vehicle accident. E702 (Brandt) provided EMS care and packaged the patient until the arrival of EMS. The patient was transported to LGH where he was admitted for observation and remained there until the next day. Fortunately he is on his way to recovering and did not suffer any serious injuries. Thanks to E-7-4-1 for handling the call and stopping by the station after wards to check on our guys.
Later in the afternoon, the tones struck out again for an Inside Investigation on Shamrock Drive. Chief 70 (Stanford) arrived and found a faulty heating element in a kitchen range. He advised E701 to make themselves available, secured the power to the appliance and assisted the resident.
