| Early Morning Entrapment Call |
Wed. Jan 27th 2010
Units from 7-11 and 7-5 were dispatched to Route 283 West, in the area of Greiner Industries for a reported vehicle accident with entrapment. Chief 7-11-2 (Brandt) went en-route and was advised of a vehicle over the embankment with one occupant trapped. Chief 7-11-2 checked Route 283 in the area and found nothing. Additional information placed the call on Cloverleaf Road, between Steel Way and Mount Pleasant Road. Chief 7-11-2 arrived and confirmed one vehicle over the embankment with on still inside. E-7-11-2 (Freeman) arrived. Chief 7-11-3 (Freeman) was tasked as Extrication Officer. Crews stabilized the vehicle and prepared for extrication. Crews from E-7-5-2, E-7-11-1 and Squad 7-11 assisted at the scene with roof removal and patient packaging.
