Members of the Department staffed the Elizabethtown Rotary Christmas Tree Sale from 9AM to 9PM at the Giant Grocery Store. During the annual event, we added some new features to promote fire prevention in the process. Every customer received a tree tag which explained proper tree care and fire prevention tips to ensure a safe holiday. We also set up a table to talk to customers about Smoke Detectors and to ensure that all residents have an operable smoke detector. In total, 27 Smoke Detectors were issued to residents of the Rheems, Elizabethtown, Mount Joy and Bainbridge areas. We will be staffing the event again on December 19th and will be offering the same services. In total 18 members participated in the event.
