RHEEMS VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT
Founded Out of Necessity, Growing Out of Dedication

Who We Are
Founded in 1920, Rheems Volunteer Fire Department has grown from humble beginnings into a modern, community-focused fire company. Today, our volunteers serve nearly 10,000 residents across Lancaster County, responding to more than 400 calls every year, from fires and EMS to rescue incidents.
Our Commitment
Operating out of Station 70, our department is equipped with modern apparatus and advanced equipment to meet the demands of today’s emergencies. Beyond our township borders, we proudly support a robust mutual aid network, ensuring communities across the region have the help they need when every second counts.

The Power of Volunteers
Our strength comes from our people. With approximately 40 dedicated members, we are neighbors helping neighbors, leaving our homes, families, and jobs at a moment’s notice to protect lives and property. Every call we answer reflects our core values: service, sacrifice, and dedication.
